Our season runs from January 1st to March 15th each year.
What fish can you catch ice fishing on Lake Nipissing?
Lake Nipissing holds Walleye (pickerel), Northern Pike, Perch, Lake Herring (cisco), Whitefish and Burbot (ling). Each year anglers have the chance to catch impressively large fish.
How much does an overnight ice fishing hut rental cost?
Weekend rates are $250.00 per person and midweek rates are $200.00 per person, taxes included. Rates are based on full occupancy of our 4, 6 or 8 person huts, with a minimum two night stay. See our ice fishing packages and rates.
What is included in the ice fishing huts?
Each hut has a propane furnace and cook top stove, LED solar panel lights, USB outlets, bunk beds with foam mattresses, a table and chairs, cooking utensils, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and a fire extinguisher. Holes are drilled inside and out on request.
Do I need a fishing licence?
Yes. All guests must bring their own fishing licence and follow the fishing regulations and catch limits set by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) for Lake Nipissing.
Are pets allowed in the ice fishing huts?
Yes. Our ice hut rentals are family-friendly and pet-friendly, so your dog is welcome to join you on the ice.
How do I get out to the ice hut?
We transport you. Our "people movers" carry up to 8 people and their gear safely in all conditions. Transportation is provided during daylight hours only to ensure guest safety.
What is the cancellation policy?
A 50% deposit is required at booking. Full refunds are available for cancellations made 14 days before your arrival date, and deposits are fully transferable to other guests or future dates, subject to availability. See our full ice fishing hut rental terms.
